Émile Forest is wrapping up his time at the Rome International Photography Festival and preparing to return to Montreal when the festival's director, Claudio Motti, asks to meet him. To his surprise, Motti doesn't want to discuss Émile’s work, but rather tell him the story of his sister. Blending drama and humor, his narrative traces back in time to the day she stopped creating, and ultimately destroyed her work.

Performance

The exhibition explores what remains of the work of Claudio Motti's sister after its destruction, and the singular power of photography to make present what is no longer.
