Les cendres de Fabio / Fabio’s Ashes (2010)

A text, an exhibit, a theatrical concert: these are three approaches to the story of Maria Motti, an Italian photographer who completely destroyed her work after having achieved notable success in the early 80s.

Fabio’s Ashes is a fable that takes place in Rome. It addresses the demands of the artistic vocation. The account, sometimes dramatic, sometimes humorous, allows us to go back in time and understand why Maria Motti suddenly stopped creating.
